I am passionate about the arts and technology, blending the two fields, and finding ways they can each enhance each other.
My studies focus on information systems and human computer interaction with a focus in user experience. I am interested in exploring opportunities in which I can combine my passion for the arts and technology and am curious about the careers that exist at the intersection of these two fields—how technology and creativity can be used in conjunction to achieve greater understanding and innovation.
I have completed a Master of Science in Information Systems at Drexel University’s College of Computing and Informatics and am continuing to pursue a secondary degree in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience. At Drexel University, I was a recipient of the Doris Zimmerman Endowment Scholarship. I previously studied at Hobart and William Smith Colleges where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Media & Society and Dance as well as a minor in Computer Science. During my undergraduate career, I was a Janet Seeley Arts Scholar and was awarded the Jean W. Reeves Arts Scholarship.
Digital Design
I started my career designing the website for Chester Valley Dance Academy as well as creating digital and print marketing materials.
Prototyping
Through my studies at Drexel and in the workplace, I have had the opportunity travel through the user experience from implementing surveys and conducting research, to creating wireframes and high fidelity prototypes.
UI Design & Branding
In 2019, I took an in-depth UI course to improve my UI design and graphic design skills. Since then I’ve been involved in UI design and branding projects as well.
IT Support
I have experience with first and second tier IT Support as a Student Manager working at the Help Desk at Hobart and William Smith Colleges as well as an IT Support Specialist at Villa Maria Academy High School.
Dancer & Choreographer
I am a life long dancer who enjoys teaching modern, contemporary, and jazz dance to all levels of students. I specialize in concert and commercial choreography for advanced groups.
Educator
I have had the pleasure of not only teaching dance and spearheading a high school Dance Department, but also teaching Computer Programming and Computer Resources to high school students.
What I do when I’m not working
In my free time, I can often be found doing one of the following; reading science fiction and fantasy novels, working out training for a Spartan DEKA, or playing the one video game I am good at, Sea of Thieves.
