Textured Dancer: This piece was created using multiple photoshop texture and layering techniques.  I wanted to create the type of textured brush effects seen in the iconic dance paintings by Edgard Degas.

Custom Advertisement: I created this postcard-like advertisement for Chester Valley Dance Academy using vignetting and lighting techniques.

Spotlight Dancer: This image was edited to apply a greater source of lighting behind the dancer to illuminate her silhouette and muscle structure. Additional vignetting was added to add a dramatic touch to the image. I wanted to illustrate the effect of a spotlight has on a dancer’s shape when they are onstage.

Film PostersI created two Wizard of Oz posters, a theatrical and a minimalist. I felt that the most iconic parts of the Wizard of Oz are the ruby red slippers and the yellow brick road. In addition, an iconic part of the film as a whole was its use of black and white and colored film. I thought it would be important to represent this dichotomy and therefore used a black and white photo background of the yellow brick road, which became black and white, but still used the color from the yellow logo and red slippers for contrast. An additional iconic part of the movie is the character of the Wicked Witch. She is a character who is green with envy. The color green plays an important role in the movie through the Wicked Witch and the Emerald City. I wanted to represent this important and made a minimalist poster with shoes on the yellow brick road with a vignetted background for my minimalist poster.
